You know there were many thousands of good, Christian, upstanding men who felt secession and slavery were wrong. It was a pure and honest conviction on their part. Because someone is from the South, does not necessarily mean that they are turncoats or traitors to their heritage, because they honor the memory of Unionist Southerners or the Union, in general. Please feel free to "defend your heritage", but do not attack others because their view of the South and right and wrong is different from your own. You know 140 years ago, bloodied warriors on both sides chose peace and reconciliation to continued bloodshed. Maybe we can honor their memory by doing the same.
