Doyle, I am in sympathy with your sentiments, but everything you said proves my point. The US was recognized because it won. The Confederacy was not because it lost. Both were considered legitimate by their citizens. As to our current predicament, we must insist the Federal Government abide by the 9th and 10th Amendments. See my post on State Sovereignty. Stan
