But you are right, Cump, Trudeau busted his sacred oath and went back to the fight, at least in the capacity of gathering intelligence on the state of Union troop dispositions in Mississippi, which he reported personally to Jefferson Davis (little politicking there, eh?). Peter Trudeau, a New York rel, was kind enough to send me a pdf of James deBerty Trudeau's signed letter of parole, which he clearly violated as subsequent events proved.

He wouldn't be the only one. I think some of my own g-g-uncles in the AoT jumped back into action a little quick after surrendering at Vicksburg.
