What are the Choices? Continue the same course as we are on now? Or try to turn this sluggish "Titanic" with the small rudder that we have. Sometime as extreme as it may be and as undesirable as it may be sometimes, it is necessary for a Doctor to break a persons leg in order to set a leg properly.
I firmly believe that this country is on a collision course to monitary collaspe. Do we allow it to collaspe by doing and saying nothing? Or do we wait for the collaspe and hope it doesn't happen in our lifetime, to pick up the piece afterwards? What happens when the Government checkbook bounces? We cain't keep printing worthless paper to solve the problem. Isn't it better to amputate an arm that to lose the whole body to disease?
If we do have to pick up the pieces I have faith that the Constitution would still be used as a framework to rebuild a new Country, but it would be a fight. And this country won't be 50 united States anymore. It would probably be 4 or 5 seperate nations as groups of states which have banded together of their own interests when this country goes bankrupt. The "old South" may rise again if that happens.
