Somehow, I can't equate the theme of "Free bird" to the qualities that so many try to portray the Confederate/Southern Soldier was emulating back then. "Gimme three steps" is not a situation I see Robert E. Lee getting himself into, tho it's my favorite song they did! I still get chills down my back when I hear "That Smell", clearly the best song they did musicaly. (I'm an old Rock-n-Roller myself)

Sorry if I don't get excited over just anyone flying the CBF. I am convinced that too many at those concerts have no clue what was at stake back in the WBTS. I remember a feller at work who came up to me and said he had his Battle Flag shirt, hat, shorts, shoes, and cooler ready. I asked him what the occasion was, he told me it was for the upcoming Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. I knew this guy, and like so many others, it was all about a raucus- get drunk-n-party time, nothing to do with honoring the Confederate Soldier, or the South.

I'm just a bit more selective where a CBF would, could, and should be flown.

Keep Rockin!
