I like Rick Perry, but I wonder if he has really read the Secession document that so many in Texas signed...you know, the document that mentions the subject of slavery in one form or another 16 or more times?
I have read the Senate Resolution #26 that he signed, and it strikes me strange that they can push the slavery issue back to the point that it don't matter, and plays no part in the scheme of things. but call anyone a "revisionist" if they think otherwise?
Some of the signers of the Texas "Declaration" went on to become Generals & ranking officers in the Confederate army, I'm confident they were fighting for the right to keep slavery in Texas.
