George, some of the information comes from Mrs. Kleckly's book which can be read online:

Elizabeth Hobbs Keckly was a former slave turned successful seamstress who is most notably known as being Mary Todd Lincoln's personal modiste and confidante, and the author of her autobiography, Behind the Scenes Or, Thirty...

Yet some other information comes from time and research at the NARA in Washington, DC

Yet still other information comes from general historical knowledge, as an example A. T. Stewart was denied a cabinet Post within Grant's cabinet despite Grant's endorsement. And such information as the yearly pay for the President during the 1860's etc.

Yet other information comes from Ohio newspaper articles telling of A.T. Stewart paying the 5 million dollars in income tax. Once I become an author I will be more specific and list each and every source. Until that time I am reserving the right to without some of the good stuff if you want to call it that. Once I list some of my primary sources then it sort of makes it easy for someone else to take credit for my work and go straight to the source and believe me I have hundreds of hours invested.
