Thanks David. I'll look for it in the O.R. Alot of times people are led to beleive that the war ended with Lee's Surrender and Confederate soldiers simply went home after hearing this news,(you see alot of this in the movies) leaving out events that occurred between April 9, 1865 to Aug. 20, 1866.Of course I've been told from time to time that the victors write the history, but the victors have long since gone and many former Confederates and their descendants have written alot since that time.
