Sadly, he was a work of fiction Dennis. Even George Washington had his problems but he's probably one of the cleanest we've ever had. Oh, that's right. He was the first and everything was fresh and new.
Lincoln, I'm sure, had his good points. Everyone does somewhere. Redestruction may have been a little easier in the South but we'll never know. With all of this information on record and public record at that, one wonders if people just didn't want to 'go there' to see the truth. I suppose if you let the skeleton hand around long enough it will fall apart when you open the closet door.
