David, along these lines there was a statue of a former Confederate, the only one that ever was on Federal property. I think it was at the Post Office in Gainesville, Ga. A tornado came along during the turn of the century and the head of the statue was never found. I have forgot his name but his claim to fame was the only former Confederate who had a statue in his honor on Federal land.
