Yes I separate it.... Why not? Slavery had nothing to do with the firing on Fort Sumter. I have given you every opportunity to prove your case and you always come up with some yoyo who wanted a bit of attention saying slavery was the cause, in case you haven't noticed I have always been able to find someone who says just the opposite. Heck the Cornerstone speech doesn't even hold water because no copy of it exists, only a newspaper account. Now if you have some definite proof --- SHOW IT. Show me something from Lincoln and Davis the real leaders. Heck using your way of thinking I can claim The Creation was a cause of the WBTS.
I am not a self proclaimed modern day Southern Heritage folk, I am not a self proclaimed anything but your equal. I am a Southerner period. My family was in the Mississippi territory before 1792, before that we were In Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee I think that gives me the right to be called a southerner. I suppose you feel superior to me because you use the standard slavery argument that is taught by the closed minded biased revisionist around the country with an agenda to make the south the guilty party. Did you ever consider they may be wrong? Regarding what the Southern leaders were saying, the history of this board will prove that I have matched you quote for quote -- Southern leaders said the issue was not slavery. Now what have we proved? Heck even Lincoln said it was about slavery, what more do you want?
You cannot dispute the fact that if Anderson had stayed at Moultrie or Lincoln would have only sent supplies to Sumter the war could very well have been avoided. Even after Sumter Lincoln could have avoided war since the Confederate fire did not kill one Union soldier. The plain and simple truth is Lincoln and Anderson is responsible for American deaths than any other men in history!!!!!
