Ok good, I'll humor you. I believe that is the Causes of Secession document you a referring to, heck lets use Mississippi, that doc comes right out and says our position (for secession) is thoroughly associated with slavery. Fair enough??? Now show me where they said they would go to war over slavery. Show me where any convention or representative speaking for Davis or Lincoln said we are going to war to maintain or free the slaves. Is it in the Northern War Resolutions??? I don't think so, but preserving the union and avenging Sumter is. We do know for a fact had Anderson not moved to Sumter, war could have been avoided. We do know that as soon as Charleston found out that Lincoln was sending men and guns to Sumter war broke out. How can you relate theses actions to slavery when no slaves were remotely involved? Go ahead tell me as a fellow did the other day, "us Yankees call it linking."
I ain't from Missouri, but SHOW ME!!!!
