There is no doubt that this is race baiting and political posturing on the Presidents part. That is not the point.

The american people ARE largely ignorant of American History and only know what is spoon fed to them, in our schools, our federal Military parks, anything to do with our own federal Government, instituted by politically motivated persons trying to achieve their agendas for their own personal enrichment in most cases.

Personally anyone that wants to argue that the Civil War was over slavery anymore automatically loses any creditability that they may have had with me, I don't care what their position is. It does prove their ignorance to me as to their knowledge of history.

But if we are to change anything. If 200 years from now we are not going to STILL be paying for our national sin of slavery in this country, we can not continue to give these people a free pass on their ignorance.
