Sorry, Jim. That's not very clear either, is it? As I said, I'm almost certain you transcribed something this ancestor had written and I think the Confederate veteran was an ancestor of your wife's. (I wouldn't swear to that last part, though. Sometimes my memory gets it wrong.:) I do remember it was in chapters and, at that time, it was on the internet, somewhere within History-Sites.com. There was a discussion on one of the forums where you posted and gave a link to one of the chapters. I'm having trouble doing a search to find it again, because I don't remember what the thread was about when you gave us a link to the transcription I'm talking about; nor do I remember which of the various forums it might have shown up on (Alabama? N&V? Prisons? etc).

Does that make more sense?
