Did I know your grandpappy was in the 8th Florida? I'm a great admirer of the "Florida Brigade" at Gettysburg. Do you have any more stories that came down to you about his service? That little brigade suffered so terribly and was really a heroic group. I was born in Tampa while my dad was in the service, so I have a certain pride in claiming this unit from the state of my birth.
