I'm sure I found your John Richardson, his middle name was Jonus. He is on the Mississippi Census in Simpson County in 1837 under John Jun. Richardson. There are 5 males under 18 years of age, 1 between 21 and 45; 4 females under 16 years of age, 1 over. No slaves. 25 acres of land, produced 3 bales of cotton. Families nearby, Smith, Mahaffy, Gates, Kelly. I know a lot of Mahaffy's or Mahaffey's in Simpson County.
