No, he did not, but Knight assasinated one of them. An article about Jones County posted by Mitch Sanders on the Mississippi board describes an incident in which Knight killed Major Amos McLemore of Jones County. For what it's worth, the article notes that Knight was a resident of neighboring Jasper County.
