Chief, I'm not Pam, but the article cited the papers as coming from SC files. Could these not have been available for some reason to the the O.R. compilers? I wonder at the latest date of the files being April 10th, 1861. Would later papers have been sent to Richmond, and thus lost in the evacuation, or could those after the attack on Sunter have been destroyed as incriminating? Just speculating again. (I agree with Pam, you know more about this than most of us do.) Stan
