I never associate the accidental shooting of General Jackson with North Carolina. However, I do associate Texas with the death of General Farnsworth, who is "reported" to have killed himself after a soldier in the 1st Texas Infantry intentionally shot him in the belly on the 3rd day of Gettysburg.
