These are my people. I know their oral traditions and the unreliablity of their accounts. I have researched many of stories given me and have been fustrated by the mistakes. I can't blame them, they had much more important things to worry about than keeping precise records of their lives. However the story of Newt Knight and the Free State of Jones is extremely limited with actual facts. Something happend there but since nobody recorded those events at the time, it must have been small compared to the scale of the history happening around them.
