Bounty for Killing

October 1, 1862. House of Representatives, Confederate States of America.

"That every slave and free negro who shall after the first day of January, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, slay, by any means, an officer, sailor, or soldier of the Lincolnite Army or Navy, upon satisfactory proof thereof, shall be entitled to a bounty of twenty dollars and an annuity of twenty dollars for life."
