Stan, that Bill Ayers is too concerned with indoctrinating children into marxist views than to spend time studying history.

I have not read the book, but the phrasing of his point seems a little strong. Perhaps these ideas and events fanned the flames, but they were not issues like: the conflicting economies; the intentions of the black republicans; the election of Lincoln. I would anticipate Unitarians living in the South would have been just as inclined to object to the Lincolnites as support them.
