Back at you,Chief. Georgianne, my wife, lost her dad two days befoe Christmas last year and her mother seven weeks later, in February. They were fine people, and I love and miss them both. My father in law was a baker and 40mm bow gunner on an LST at Okinawa. He only began to share with me his last few years, as we got closer and he had enough distance to remember without too much pain. He liked to hear me tell him stories of the EBTS, especially of my relatives' unit, the 18th Georgia, ANV. My daughter was his oldest grandchild, and they had a special bond. He walked her into the living room to see what Santa brought her every year since she could walk, while I took pictures. Last yea she was still in shock, but this year she will really miss him. Somehow, we will begin a new Christmas tradition. Merry Christmas to all. Stan
