Stan, if you will go to http://www.txgenweb7.org/txbexar/siege.html (Seige of Bexar Site) you will find a Hugh McCollum listed as a participant in "The Battle for San Antonio"

This site - http://www.txgenweb7.org/txbexar/index.html is a good all-around Bexar genealogy site that might be worth exploring

Is Hugh McCollum the ancestor we discussed before?

I also recall there is a McCollum High School in Bexar County - might be interesting to find out who it was named after?
