Re: The Court Martial of Captain Alexander

The Richmond Daily Dispatch: October 16, 1862.

Presentation of a horse.

--A splendid horse, saddle and bridle was yesterday presented to Captain G. W. Alexander, assistant Provost Marshal and A. A. General, by a number of his personal friends in this city.

The Richmond Daily Dispatch: December 19, 1863.

The case of Capt. Alexander.

--We understand that this official, who has been relieved from command at Castle Thunder, for alleged malfeasance in office, has demanded an investigation into the charges against him. Captain L. W. Richardson succeeds Captain Alexander in command of the Castle.

I do not find in the Daily Dispatch, notice of this referenced investigation nor that of the legislature.
