I agree Edward. Lee and Washington had the one quality that has withstood time. Honor. Of course there have been others who were honorable, but none can stand with those two. Lee's life after the conflict is another example of honor. He accepted the end and tried to care for his men as best he could, then he went on with his life teaching others how to be good people. We could use more teachers like him. Even at the end, in such miserable circumstances, his men would have gladly followed if he were only to ask.
