Pam --

Dittos on the Federal agricultural schedules, 1850-1880. An entry will describe in some detail how a family lived and what they did on their farm. Not being as useful for famly research, they remain largely unknown. Of the six census schedules for each county, this is one of four schedules that's hardly ever mentioned.

It's interesting to try to match data from these schedules to the county population census. Quite often the cash value of the farm will match the real estate value on the population census.
