Don't know who the man might have been. As a family name, McAdory isn't that common in Mississippi. At the time of the war, there's Thomas H. McAdory (age 48) and Jacob F. McAdory (age 57) in Louisville, Winston Co. James McAdory (age 44) lives in Koscuisko, while Willliamson McAdory (age 47) lives at Rocky Point, Attala Co. Williamson died Mar. 28, 1863, so we can remove him from consideration. These appear to be wealthy, prosperous men involved in the center of their communities, much like the McAdorys who were so influential in growth and development of Alabama.
