Corps vs. Corp vs. Corpse

It's not uncommon to come across posts referencing "Hardee's Corp" or "Longstreet's Corp" or something similar. Recently President Obama made a similar but not identical mistake at this years' National Prayer Breakfast, pronouncing the word 'corps' as if it was 'corpse'.

Let there be no mistake -- I like what he's saying here. It's just misuse of the military term 'corps' that bother me.
