I agree this needs more reserach. In the case of Knight and his band, they neither tried to make money, disrupt Confederate operations to any real degree or support the Union. The fact that the posted website callled these men patriots really galled me especially when they listed Collins as a member of the 7th Infantry. They were doing nothing more than saving there own skins. You talk about re-writting history!!!
