Interesting stuff David especially since I do a bit of fishing in that area. At one time there may have been something near the mouth off the Pearl River,I have never saw anything that I caught my eye. There is an old railroad "hotel" down that way but I think it was built in the 1900s.

Also like the reference to Wirt Adams and Marion Co. That is good stuff I can add to my family tree since my 14 year old grandfather rode with Moorman.
