Re: State Sovereignty vs States Rights

I had posted a few days ago about the bills pending in the legislatures of TN and SC that I know of basically declare that if the feds try to impose fines for not buying insurance, this law can't be enforced in those states. My point was that they parallel the Nullification Acts crisis of 1831-32 in which SC declared federal tariffs wouldn't be honored in that state. All of which was an early log on fire setting off our civil war. I think the administrator pulled it down though? I agree that there are a lot of parallels between today's debate and the 1840-60 period...
