As for the property matter goes, if a Southerner from let's say Mississippi, stole a Yankee slave ship with cargo, don't you think the Yankee would want it back. If you try and justify the war because Sunmter belonged to the United States, then surely equal laws would apply to a slaveownerrs property. Can't have it both ways, which is it going to be???
