George and Joe, I don't feel I'm butting in here, because the 18th Ga was camped along with the Texans at that time, not too long before Gaines Mill, where they got to "cill" some Yankees, capture several guns, and many prisoners. If Ron was reading an original letter, it would be very easy to misread a "4" as "11", if the crossbar was faded or on a crease in the paper. Who were the company officers in the 4th Texas?
