Hmm.. I wonder if McRainey's wife, Delta Burke, was any kin to ol' "31 Knot" Burke. Sorry about my spelling in the heading of my original post. BTW, as you no doubt are aware, Burke's nick name resulted from his running his tin cans at their 31 knot flank speed. When I was on the sea trials of the USS Enerprise, CVN 65, her speed indicator was blocked off above 40 knots. In a half hour, we left two destroyers out of sight over the horizen, when they were going at flank speed. We were raising a rooster tail! Stan
