Re: Captain Nancy Morgan and the Nancy Hart Militi

I really am unsure just what the statement meant but it looks to me like they may be talking about the state of Florida. She and her family went with the Army when she was 12 years old. They, for lack of a nicer term at the moment, were 'camp followers' of sorts but not the type one thinks of in hearing that term. I'll post the info I have on her tomorrow. I know I have a bit more than I have my hands on at the moment. You know how those files sort of fall to the bottom of the drawer and you have to unearth half the world to get to em. Anyhow, her Father enlisted and that's what she and her mother did. They cooked, washed and then pretty much became full time nurses. She, Delity, as captured twice, but got away. After the war she married a man named Kelly and they lived here til she died. She is buried at St Michael's Cemetery here in Pensacola, about 60 yards from Stephen R. Mallory's grave. St Michaels has a wonderful website with GPS locators through the University of West Florida. I always have to sort of play with it til I remember what I'm supposed to do to find the location of a grave but it's really neat.
