I believe all the former Confederate states have designated a Confederate History Month, mostly in April. Here is the one for Texas:

My concern is that very few people actually observe it....mostly SCV and UDC. There should be a state holiday, but it would probably fall by the wayside like Confederate Heroes Day did during the Civil Rights bowel movement. We lost control of our public schools in the 1960's and now most school children believe our ancestors were bad people who hated blacks and deserved to have their homes torn asunder and their land confiscated by yankee swindlers.
