With all due respect to everyone who posts on The News and Views Board. I agree with the lack of true facts concerning the War Between The States being presented on various T.V. programs and in our modern text books.

I highly disagree with the subject line "I give up". I personally along with many others have a Southern Heritage of which I am very proud. Many of my ancestors fought, suffered and died for their beliefs in their constitutional right of personal freedoms along with several hundred thousand of others with like beliefs.

At the present time I am arranging to take a 11 year old young male friend to tour the estate of Alexander Stevens. Amazingly his sister, who is age 14, his father, who is a Colonel in the United States Army, and his mother, have asked to accompany us on the visit. The Colonel who was born and educated in Delaware made the statement that "I wish others would take a hands on interest in teaching our children about early American History"

I will soon reach the age of 82, which to me means, God has a purpose in allowing me to live to this age. Could it be to educate others about their heritage?

As for me "Hell No I Won't Forget", And "Hell No I Won't Give Up".
