I don't know, but I'm sure you know we have a number of Quantrill experts, including Rose Mary Lankford, who post regularly on the Missouri in the CW Message Board. Though there are a large number of Martins in the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, most of them are descended from a Joseph Martin, who was a Revolutionary War general.
I actually have three (3) different Martin families in my ancestry. The family, from which I derive my surname was in Southern Indiana during the WBTS. They moved to Central Arkansas (Faulkner County), as a family group in the 1880's.
My Cherokee ancestry includes the surnames, Brewer, Crittenden, Downing, Harlan, Howell, Taylor and others.
