In Response To: Re: Semper Paratus B.B. ()

In the War of 1812, it was very common for boys to be enlisted in the regular U.S. Army. I have the military records of a 44 year old TN man who enlisted with three sons, ages 16, 14, and 12. The father died during the War and boys all completed their five year enlistments. Betcha none of them were boys when they were discharged from the Army.

Jeremiah Sr. and Hercules were transferred to the 1st Rifle Regiment. They were my 4th and 3rd g-grandfathers.

Capt. Uriah Allison and his Soldiers in the War of 1812, from Roane Co.
