When Sharpe was fighting in France...a captain then...there was a Major, I forget his name. Anyway his father had been from Virginia and fought as a Loyalist. They went to Canada after the war and his son joined the British Army. He still had a southern drawl you could cut with a knife. The French have them surrounded and the Colonel looks at the Major and says....don't worry, your father and I fought against George Washington together. The Major looks at the Colonel and says " Meaning no disrespect to either you or my esteem father but I wish George Washington was here now!"
