Thanks again. With the wealth of amazing information we now have because so much has been compiled and we can access it, one would think it would be used to help our future leaders understand what this Nation has gone through. The mental image of cutting timber and getting it ready to build a boat is kind of inspiring. Like the Little Engine That Could. Such a sad end for another Confederate ship.
I wonder if because the ports were pretty much taken over for the most part in the earlier years of the war many think the Confederate Navy wasn't active anymore.
