I thought I was going to get banned for mentioning what I found in the census records for 1870 and 1880 in Mobile County. A entire community of interracial marriages, no segregation of blacks and whites homes, all the neighorhoods were mixed racially. Just totally not what I expect for the period. Where was the KKK, I thought they kept all that from ever happening? They did pull it.
