I'm sure Jim won't mind this post, as John is a contributing author on these great message boards. "The Confederate Alamo" by John J. Fox III is with out question one of the most thoroughly researched and accurately presented works on the last defenses of The Confederacy in Virginia that I have ever read. John has crafted a book that is an entertaining read but with all the documented references that any history student will surely appreciate. I urge you all to get a copy of this new work. And make a little time, because you won't be able to put it down. The bravery and courage exhibited by the last defenders of the Petersburg Line is awe-inspiring. John and I have corresponded several times about his latest work. He is a stickler for details and thorough with his sources and references. I highly recommend this book. You will be left in awe of those brave men that stood ‘til the end. Congratulations to John and Angle Valley Press.
