Since when did dictators ever acknowledge state sovereignty? Lincoln violated almost every article in the Bill of Rights. The U.S. Constitution and soveveignty of another nation had nothing to do with his scheme to be the first Great Centralizer, the all time progressive regime until now. With Lincoln's logic, the invasion of Poland was a war of rebellion.
