Well, the stormy seas close to the Alabama made that rather difficult. The continued seepage has pretty much blown their 'fail safe' ideas out of the water about like Adm. Semmes fine looking vessel was. It is looking pretty much like the Gulf Coast is going to be going through another redestruction and this time it's not from a storm. This mess is man made, much like Sherman's march and pretty much just as that other battle with that beautiful ship the Alabama.
Some of the problem is possibly part of the communication gap between the residents of the Gulf States (who were part of the Confederate States)and the government (who doesn't listen to former Confederate States cause we're not part of the Chicago brigade).
Now, we know the couriers have some trouble getting through the lines but the message is the same from all states. Fix It Yesterday!!!! It is a good thing the sitting potus sort of figured out the new edict to drill was not something to push in our face at the moment. I assume there will be a larger battle coming up real soon. From where I'm sitting, if the invader gets past Ft Pickens and Ft McRee, we are pretty much in deep dark slop. I tell ya, I get rather testy and sort of grumpy if I don't get my usual dose of Mullet or Shrimp during the week. Specially when it's cooked in a cast iron skillet over a campfire. Yep, look for me to be in a foul mood. Sort of like some of the Generals were when they saw other Generals do something really stupid.
