Even if it did fly the revenue flag, if it went in during the night like some people thought they would any flag would be a moot point. Maybe they thought that flag would be allowed to come on in where just the US Flag was suspect. It does look as if a lot of material has surfaced to at least give credibility to the theory that the US was not 'blameless'.

I will say that if The Star of the West were to enter our harbor today with a load of mullet, they'd be cheered in and a fight would ensue to divvy it up. Catfish is nooooo substitute.
