This film is an excellent example of why it is a career killer for any
authoritative scholar or other authoritative person with a national
reputation to attack Lincoln on Constitutional or any other grounds.
Many, after viewing the film, may have been left with the impression
that Lincoln single-handedly invented the telegraph, the railroad, the
minnie ball and the first use of the same for military purposes.
Their treatment of the EP was completely skewed in such a way as to
elevate Lincoln to a God-like status. Talk about revisionism !
Sorry, Cump, but that's the way it came across to me.
