When objecting to the choices of words used by posters at this site it has been my experience that one is answered by those who will address NOT what you found objectionable but will digress and bring up examples of why it was okay for them to say whatever they want. I agree that they have that right, I just wish they would address what it was you found objectionable. That said, I agree that Custer was an ass, his actions at the Washita and other instances prove that. The massacre at Sand Creek was a war crime. However, defending "Viva the Indians" in reference to Little Big Horn seems akin to cheering the actions of the Red Sticks at the Ft. Mims Massacre....I had ancestors on both sides of that one. It is the "Viva etc" that was found shameful as pertaining to the slain troupers.
