If one could be objective, and just read some of the stories some of the better known battles would be comedy material if people hadn't really died. Ft Mims is one example. My husbands ancestor would have been there, probably on Weatherford's side but he'd gone to purchase something in Mississippi. He just missed it. But when it was over, his sister's husband was dead but she was sort of helped get out of the way by some of the 'redsticks' so she lived. Weatherford became hubby's ancestor's brother in law. And Weatherford also sort of made up with Jackson. Soo, after all of the squabble and wind, they really never should have stormed the fort. Didn't make any difference. It was life on the 'frontier'.
